ShopSite
merchants need to look outside the box when it
comes to shipping software. While ShopSite does
not offer an internal method to produce shipping
labels compliant to the major carriers, they are
one of the most versatile when it comes to exporting
order information.
Today
ShopSite offers methods to export your order data
as CSV files or in an XML format. The CSV file
can easily be mapped and imported into ReadyShipper.
But the recommended method for a clean ShopSite
integration is through the ShopSite Module. Now
available for ReadyShipper, this module features
an integrated OrderBrowser that delivers a web-enabled
window into your ShopSite account. Easily view
and import your orders for fast, efficient shipping
with ReadyShipper shipping software.
Start
with ReadyShipper shipping software. Then, download
the ShopSite Module, its a featured integration
found on the Modules
page at www.trueship.com. By double-clicking on
the Module Icon, it will look like a puzzle piece
after download, the Module will automatically
install and ReadyShipper will launch.
With
ReadyShipper open, select "Modules"
from the menu bar. Now choose "ShopSite"
and click on "Settings". To finalize
installation simply enter your user name, password
and the XML URL exclusive to your site. If you
do not know your URL, contact your hosting company
or web administrator.
You
are now ready to view and import your orders.
From the ShopSite menu option, select "Import
Orders". This opens the integrated ShopSite
OrderBrowser. From here you need only to click
"View Orders" to instantly view your
daily orders.
The
second method of integration uses ShopSite's CSV
order file export. Available to any user, this
also requires the merchant to set up a "Field
Map". The Field Map is a selection from the
"Orders Download" screen that delivers
a useful tool to create a custom CSV order export
file. Of key importance when creating an export
file is to first determine whether shipping labels
or forms are preferred. If the merchant needs
only labels, the export file will be complete
with just a shipping address, order number and
package weight. On the other hand, if the merchant
would like to create an all-in-one form, ReadyShipper
needs the item details as well. At a minimum this
would include part numbers, item weights and descriptions.
ShopSite saves the custom CSV export format for
future use. These files can then be easily mapped
into ReadyShipper using its Order Mapping Wizard.
After a map has been created and named, it is
added as a standard import type in ReadyShippers
order importer.
More
than Shipping Software
Its
not uncommon for ShopSite merchants to offer special
shipping promotions. When assigning a ship method
like "Free Shipping" to an order, it
must later be translated into something a carrier
like UPS will understand. ReadyShipper features
a ship type converter just for this purpose. ShopSite
merchants are able to import any style of shipping
promotion and ReadyShipper will automatically
convert it to Ground, Air or any other method
defined by the user.
ReadyShipper
offers a number of tools to fill in the blanks
for faster, more efficient shipping. Delivering
a range of features from Automators for routine
tasks, to product tables that fill in the blanks,
ReadyShipper is enterprise level shipping software
that any merchant can afford.
